Baseball is back, and it has pulled me yet again from the edge of a despondent madness. In its honor, here’s a team inspired by some of my favorite batsmen from the 80’s and 90’s. They are: Frozen Ropes!
For you limey’s and assorted other uninitiated, a “frozen rope” is baseball slang for a particularly well-struck ball, its trajectory and velocity so impressive, it resembles a hempen line, frozen into the summer sky.
